More info: When affected users try to access archived email messages in Outlook on the web, they may see the error message “Your message cannot be displayed right now.” Current status: We've confirmed the fix has completed releasing to all affected infrastructure and are monitoring the environment to validate this issue has been remediated. Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users attempting to access archived email messages in Outlook on the web. This section may be updated as our investigation continues. Start time: Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 9:37 AM UTC Root cause: A code issue is resulting in restricted access when archiving email messages in Outlook on the web. The primary and archive mailboxes are on different machines, the request to access the mailbox is landing in the correct portion of infrastructure but is trying to find the primary instead of the archive mailbox, resulting in impact. We want to inform you that the Secure Email Threat Defense (SETD) service is currently unavailable due to an ongoing outage in a cloud service provider in the UAE region. As a result, SETD is temporarily unable to scan emails for threats, and users are unable to log in to the SETD portal. Email delivery is not impacted for the users. The Cisco team is actively monitoring the situation with our cloud service provider and will restore the service as quickly as possible. In the meantime, please be aware of the following impacts: • Emails will not be scanned by SETD, which may increase exposure to phishing, malware, and other threats. Access to the SETD portal is unavailable for reviewing threat reports, managing configurations, or accessing quarantined emails. • There may be a delay in threat detection and response until the service is restored. • A backlog of unscanned emails may occur and require additional processing once service resumes.
